Star Trek fans have been arguing about which movie series is the worst. This doesn’t exactly make emotional Spock moments easier to watch, especially for old-fashioned fans who want this Vulcan rather than emotional and written characters. But it does add some crunchy context to the arc of one of the best characters on TV, while improving the worst movies of Star Trek. This is enough to bring a “Amok Time” smile to the face of the most cynical fans.
