Team USA before the Czech rally – Tennis now

Seven teams will book tickets to this year’s Davis Cup final and join the defending champion Italy in the finals of eight teams from November 18 to 23.
Here’s how the seven tie develops this weekend…the home team is listed first in all scores.
United States 2–3 Czech Republic
Jakub Mensik and Jiri Lehecka made a comeback for Czech Asia on Saturday at Delray Beach, with the rising Czech rally defeating the Americans 3-2 to reach the Davis Cup final in Bologna, Italy.
After putting down the doubles, Lehecka took out Taylor Fritz and Mensik defeated Frances Tiafoe 6-1, 6-4 to win.
Rajeev, Ram and Austin Krajicek scored a doubles victory after heavy rain delays, giving the U.S. an edge on Delray Beach, Florida on Saturday.
The Americans recorded 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4, beat Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik to record 7-6 (6), 5-7.
“Everyone sat here and got this victory,” Ram said.
“The words cannot describe it,” Krajsek added.
But soon after, the momentum shrank the Czechs as Jiri Lehecka took Taylor Fritz 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, forcing Delray Beach’s decision to rubber.
In Florida on Friday, the Czechs and Americans played two singles matches with Jiri Lehečka, defeating Frances Tiafoe in the first rubber, while Fritz bounced back to eliminate Mensik.
Netherlands 1-3 Argentina
Andreas Molteni and Horacio Zeballos won the Argentina team’s wind by 6375 against Sander Arends and Botic Van de Zandschulp.
A day ago, Tomas Martin Echeverry and Francisco Cerundolo led Argentina 2-0.
Australia 0-2 Belgium (Completed on Sunday)
Raphael Collignon fought over serious cramps, which eventually led Alex de Minaur to beat a daily match against Belgium against Sydney 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. Zizou Bergs beat Jordan Thompson 7-6 (4), 6-4 in Game 2.
“We always have great players, which is incredible for a small country like us,” said Belgian captain Steve Darcis. “We have a lot of players who love playing the Davis Cup. It’s amazing for me. We’re still far. Well, it’s 2-0, but the road is long.”
Hungary 2–3 Austria
Jurij Rodionov beat Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 6-1, to gain a spot in the finals in Austria in the decision rubber.

When we started with a 2-0 lead, I didn’t want to play. I hope the doubles players can win, but that’s the way to go home. I’m glad to make a difference. I’m glad to go to Bologna.”
Japan 0–4 Germany
Three-time champion, Germany will return to the finals after defeating Japan. Jan-Lennard Struff started everything from three sets, Yoshihito Nishioka and Yannick Hanfmann then beat Shintaro Mochizuki directly
Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz completed the sweep in doubles action.
Spain 0–2 Denmark (Completed on Sunday)
Denmark’s Elmer Moeller returned to Stun Jaume Munar 2-6 6-1 6-4 from a match to play a lead against Spain at the Puente Romano club of Dennis.

Croatia 1-3 France
No. 39 Corentin Moutet scored two victories in his Davis Cup debut, leading France through Croatia. Moutet’s second win won the French tie as Southpaw eliminated Marin Cilic 7-5, 6-4.
“Marin Cilic is a legend in our movement and I’m so glad to have this experience,” said Moutet. “The experience was amazing. I couldn’t dream of better results, but I knew I had the ability to do it.”
