I-10 closed in East El Paso after pedestrians found on highway

A police spokesman said a pedestrian was found on a road near Yarbrough Drive in East El Paso, with Interstate 10 closed.

Police responded to calls on the “traffic danger” on the highway around 10 a.m. on the eastbound lane of I-10 on Sunday, July 13, and the pedestrian was taken to the hospital.

Police found a pedestrian on the highway near Yarbrough Drive on Sunday morning, closing on Interstate 10 eastbound on East Paso. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital without disclosure.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation’s highway camera and online traffic map, the I-10 East remained closed shortly before Yarbrough exited, with traffic passing through Mcrae Boulevard.

Pedestrian injury, medical conditions and the range of reasons for the person on the highway were not immediately available.

The same Interstate 10 was a scene of suicide attempts to enter traffic in the past.
