IDF prepares to strengthen suppression of Haredi Draft Dodgers

The IDF has sent 80,000 draft orders to the Haredi man and is coordinating with Israeli police to prepare for a large-scale arrest operation nationwide.

N12 reported on Wednesday that the IDF is preparing to step up measures against the Haredi (Ultra-Ortoox) draft, thus shortening the period when the Dodge draft can be arrested.

In the past month, the IDF has issued at least 54,000 draft orders to the Haredi man and is preparing for a large-scale arrest nationwide and coordinating with Israeli police.

IDF’s current standards state that anyone who avoids drafts for more than 540 days will be sent to prison, while those who avoid shorter periods will be tested quickly before drafting.

The military is stepping up the law enforcement draft in preparation for Rosh Hashanah, when thousands of Haredim were expected to travel to Uman in Ukraine to help arrest the Dodge draft by setting up a system to help arrest the Ben-Gurion airport.

According to N12, in September, the IDF will hold a partial amnesty period, allowing all Dodge drafts to enlist in the army without being arrested in exchange for a full year of regular military service, among other conditions. In these cases, allegations of the dodge draft will be revised and the Dodge draft will be subject to a conditional judgment.

Mk Moshe Gafni, head of the degel Hatorah faction of United Law Judaism, criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara’s role in the new law enforcement process.

“Baharav-Miara declared himself the main fighter against the Pentateuch, its students and the defenders of the Jews. We will not allow anyone to stop Yeshiva’s students from studying the Torah or stopping his studies.

Arye Deri, chairman of Shas, also criticized Baharav-Miara, saying her “instructions to the lawyers of Moses Moses in the Jewish state…is a shame and forgetfulness to the Pentateuch students in the Jewish state. His studies.”

Deri also told Yeshiva students not to worry about drafts, they should sit down and study, and some others are taking care of it, as shown in the video shared by reporters at Army Radio.

Israel to stop funding Haredi Yeshivot designated as the Dodge draft

The Supreme Court ruled that Israel would stop funding for Haredi Yeshivot designated for high-risk youth drafted by the IDF.

The hearing was made on the fund itself in a petition held by the NGO Israel Khov. The petition was a ban on funding of Yeshivot in the state following a previous decision made by the High Court, which did not address its status in the IDF.

The so-called “School Dropout Yeshivot” is the institution where Noham left Haredi youth. Starting from the upcoming school year – in September, funding will be stopped for these Jesus students, who have not addressed their position in the military.
