Someone is somewhere Follow Sam Miller (Everett), a self-deprecating woman who moves back to her hometown of Manhattan, Kansas, to take care of her dying sister Holly. The show begins after Holly’s death when Sam tries to figure out what to do with her life. She often clashes with her other sister, Tricia (Mary Catherine Garrison), and her hiding father Ed (Ed)Mike Hagerty) and alcoholic mother, Mary Jo (Jane Drake Brody). But when Sam reconnected with his old high school classmate Joel (Hiller), her world was opened up.
