If you use Microsoft Authenticator to store your password, please do not

Microsoft Authenticator is sunsetting its ability to store passwords. This month, the service no longer allows users to add or import new passwords. Starting in July 2025, users will no longer be able to use Autofill with Authenticator, and in August 2025, the password will no longer be available. Payment information stored in the authenticator will be deleted after July and after the next month, all unsaved generated passwords will be deleted. Passkeys will still be supported in the authenticator.

Those who want to stay in the Microsoft ecosystem can indeed choose to use the password they saved when using the Edge browser. However, if you are not interested in Edge, it means that authenticator users may want to read through their other password manager options. Fortunately, there are several excellent options that are not relevant to the specific hardware provider.
