India says its troops killed 31 Maoist rebels in weeks-long battle

Indian security forces killed 31 Maoist insurgents, and the interior minister “is the biggest move against Naxalism.”

Amit Shah said on social media on Wednesday that the surgery was held in Karreguttalu Hill on the border of Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

“The Red Terror once stood on the hills of domination, and today the Tricolors are flying proudly… Our security forces completed this largest anti-Naxal operation in just 21 days, and I am very happy that the security forces in this operation did not have any casualties,” he wrote on X.

India has been attacking the last remaining groups of the Naxal Rebellion, a left-right Maoist-style fighter sport that began in 1967.

Karreguttalu Hills was once the unified headquarters of several Naxal organizations, where they provided weapons and strategic training for the rebels.

But the Naxars have been saying for what they are saying is to defend the rights of tribal people in the region.

At the peak of the group in the mid-2000s, they controlled nearly one-third of the country, with an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 fighters.

Director-General Central Reserve Police Force GP Singh said on Wednesday that the government is “committed to eliminating” March 31, 2026, “through ruthless and ruthless action.”

Indian soldiers have killed at least 400 rebels since last year, according to government data.

Recently, 11 rebels were killed by Indian troops in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand states.
