According to regulatory documents released Sunday, the Telecommunication Commission is scheduled to meet on April 30 to consider “viable options and strategies to improve shareholder returns”, including buybacks, bonuses, bonds or dividends, or “any other permitted model or any other permitted model or any combination thereof.”
The company noted that the company's stock trading window will remain closed until Friday, May 2.
“According to applicable law, the transaction window should also be deemed to be closed for the above purposes,” the Indian Tower said in its submission.

Since its launch in 2012, the Indian Tower has not announced a bonus. If its board of directors clears the bonus at an upcoming meeting, it will be the first bonus to be a public company.

In 2024, the Indian Tower made its first buyback since 2016. In other words, if the company's board of directors approves the April 30 repo plan, it would be the first such company action announcement in about eight months.
