In multiple telephone interviews with media outlets on Friday, Trump repeatedly urged Iran to reach a nuclear deal to avoid further Israeli strikes, which he warned would be “more cruel.”
“They missed the opportunity to reach a deal. Now, they may have another chance. We will see,” he told NBC News.
“They can still reach an agreement, but it’s not too late,” he told Reuters.
“Iran must reach a deal,” Trump wrote on the truth about social media platforms on Friday morning.
According to Reuters, the U.S. State Department had notified Qatar and several other U.S. Middle East allies in the hours before Israel attacked Iran.
Trump also told the Washington Post on Friday that he knew Israel would strike Iran.
“I always knew the date,” Trump said. “Because I know everything. I know everything. I know everything.”
