Israel “strengthen” in Gaza activities as further reports of deaths

A major commander said on Sunday that the Israeli military is stepping up its activities in the Gaza Strip, with dozens of Palestinians reportedly killed in new attacks.

“We are strengthening our activities in line with established plans,” said Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir.

“Hamas is under tremendous pressure. It has lost most of its assets and its command and control,” Zamir said during a visit to Khan City in the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern part of the coastal territory.

He asserted: “We will deploy all the tools that can be used to bring the hostages home, remove Hamas and remove its rule.”

“This is not an endless war. Our goal is to end it by achieving the goal.” “Our goal is to make Hamas’ decisive failure, and we will achieve this with determination, accuracy and ensuring the safety of our troops.”

Israeli media have previously reported that the military has moved all its conventional infantry and tank brigades to the Gaza Strip. Currently, the armed forces are deployed in various areas of the embattled coastal areas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently announced plans to capture the entire Gaza Strip.

Israel’s actions in coastal areas where about 2 million Palestinians have received massive international criticism.

In the latest attack, Gaza’s Hamas Party Health Ministry said at least 38 people have been killed in the past few days.

Authorities said Sunday that 204 more people were injured in the past 24 hours.

The ministry added that the figures do not include victims registered at the hospital in northern Gaza, as it is currently too difficult to enter the area.

More than 53,900 people have been killed in the territory since the beginning of the Gaza war on October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel by Palestinian militant group Hamas have been killed in the territory, according to Palestinian sources.
