The 24-year-old Italian will team up with Belgian Zizou Bergs for the third ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, where the two will face Tomas Machac and Casper Ruud on clay. This will be Sinner’s second doubles match this year, after losing in the first round to Reilly Opelka in Indian Wells.

Alexander Zverev, who won the title with Marcelo Melo in Acapulco in March, will join the Brazilian in the principality. Zverev and Melo will face Luke Johnson and Jan Zielinski in the first round, with the winning team facing top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in the second round. Alex De Minaur and Cameron Norrie will face Italian wildcards Matteo Berrettini and Andrea Vavassori, with third seeds Harry Heliovara and Henry Patten waiting in the second round.

Czech players Jiri Lehecka and Jakub Mensik faced Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov in a singles rematch. Lehka arrived in Monte Carlo full of confidence after advancing to the singles final in Miami. Rublev and Khachanov won the title together in Madrid in 2023.

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool are the second seeds and will face either Sadio Doumbia and Fabian Reible or Alexander Eller and Lucas Midler in the opening match. Valentin Vacherot, who plays alongside his cousin Arthur Rinderknech, leads Monaco’s hopes. Vaccello and Lindeknec reached the finals in Indian Wells in March, where they faced fifth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic in the first round.
