Defending champion Jannik Sinner and top seed Carlos Alcaraz learned their Nitto ATP Finals draw fate on Thursday afternoon in Turin.
Sinner is the headliner of the Bjorn Borg Group, which also includes Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton and either Felix Auger-Aliassime or Lorenzo Musetti (8). If Musetti wins the Athens title this week, he will qualify and become the eighth seed. Otherwise, Auger-Aliassime would be the eighth seed.
Sinner reached the final for the first time in 2023 and won the championship trophy with an undefeated record at the Inalpi Arena last year with a perfect performance.
Alcaraz joins Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz and Alex De Minaur in first place in the Jimmy Connors group.
Alcaraz is trying to win the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time. The Spaniard qualified for the year-end tournament for the first time in 2022 and has competed in the past two seasons, reaching the semi-finals in 2023.
Three of the eight singles players have previously lifted the trophy. Djokovic is a record seven-time champion, Zverev claimed glory in 2018 and 2021, and Sinner triumphed last year.
