Jannik Sinner produced outstanding results for Outmanoivre Fabian Marozsan and booked his semifinals at the China Open in Beijing on Monday.
Ranked second in the PIF ATP rankings, Sinner won the final three games of the game 6-1, 7-5, to stand out from the defeat. After racing in the opening game, the Italian had to produce some of the best tennis balls to escape a 4-5 deficit and play the semi-finals with his top 10 star Alex de Minaur.

Although the Sinner proved too powerful in the opening phase against Marosan, the Hungarian made his opponent dig deeper to end his victory. With the baseline’s 20-time Tour-level champion toe toe, Marozsan defeated four breakout points in the second set to hold 4-4 and then broke Sinner’s serve for the first time in the game to threaten the decision-maker.
However, World 57 cannot maintain the charge. He made a sloppy Game 10, where Sinner stood out, and the Italian repeated the feat in Game 12 to block his victory.
Now it’s the third time that it’s Beijing’s semi-finals, the 2023 champion Sinners will beat Alex de Minaur in the championship game. Australia’s third seed was forced to retire when his quarter-final rival Jakub Mensik fell 1-4 in the first set due to injury.
The Sinners will enter Tuesday’s semi-finals with a 10-0 Lexus ATP Head2head against De Minaur. The Italian, who ranked second in the PIF ATP live match, is already eligible for the season-end Nitto ATP final and now has reached the final four in the eight tournaments in 2025.
