Jennifer Aniston's alleged stalker is charged in car accident at her home

Authorities say a Mississippi man will face up to three years in prison after allegedly stalking and harassing Jennifer Aniston for more than two years, eventually hitting his car while she was at home during a dramatic incident this week.

Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, of New Albany, Mississippi, was charged Wednesday with felony stalking and felony sabotage charges, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.

Authorities said Cavill drove his car into the doorstep of Aniston's Bel-Air home at 12:20 pm on Monday and was armed by an Aniston's private security guard before officers arrived. He was slightly injured in the crash and was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Prosecutors said Carwyle has been harassing “friends” actors since March 2023 and has sent unwanted messages via social media, voicemail and email.

In addition to the felony charges, he faces serious circumstances with a serious threat of physical injury. If charged with conviction, Cavill faces up to three years in prison.

Prosecutors intend to demand that their bail be rated at $150,000.

“Stalking is a crime that can quickly go from harassment to danger, violent action, threatening the safety of victims and our community,” Dist. Atti. Nathan Hochman said in a statement. “My office is committed to actively prosecuting those who stalk and intimidate others to ensure they are held accountable.”

Aniston bought her mid-century mansion for less than $21 million on a 3.4-acre Bel-Air plot, according to the building summary.

Times reportedly set up as a cape in 2012 and enjoyed views of the ocean and the city. The “Morning Show” actor, who was 56, bought it, and on the ground included a hotel, a swimming pool and a vineyard.
