JJ Spaun won the tough course conditions, horrible weather and competitive calories at the 2025 U.S. Open on Sunday at the Oakmont Country Club.

Spaun became a professional player in 2012 and only won one PGA Tour in his game, he took over the first major of his career in one game, a course that consumed some of the biggest stars of the game.

He did this in a dramatic way, too, as Spaun closed the door with a birdie on the 18th, a 64-foot long winding putt to secure the victory. It’s the longest putt anyone on the field has made in four rounds.

Spaun shot 66-72-69-72 from the field, completing the only player of the week in Oakmont.

This is a developing story. And more.
