Peter Jones Foundation and FRP team up to expand competition among national entrepreneurs of the year

The Peter Jones Foundation has announced a new partnership with leading business consulting firm FRP to significantly expand its flagship national entrepreneur of the year.
Now open to all young entrepreneurs aged 16 and 21, the competition will hold the FRP host regional final in the UK, focusing on the most promising young business founders in every corner of the country. The partnership aims to unlock opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities and underrepresented contexts, providing a powerful platform for the next generation of business leaders.
Five regional winners will push their business to a high-profile judging panel, including FRP CEO Peter Jones CBE and Geoff Rowley. The overall champion will be crowned at the prestigious annual awards ceremony in November and receive a grant of £10,000 to help grow its business. Additional cash prizes include £1,000 per regional champion and £5,000 second-second runner-up each finalist will also benefit from a year of expert guidance.
To apply, candidates must submit business plans and elevator pitch videos. The competition has successfully launched careers of several outstanding entrepreneurs, including Shophere founder Ross Bailey, which has continued to raise more than $20 million in venture capital; David Humpston, the founder of Opinion Video and one of the youngest to receive a Virgin Startup loan ever; Miah Maddock-Hodgins, the founder of MCR Education Hub, is a groundbreaking inclusive education platform dedicated to supporting young people facing mainstream educational barriers, such as dispatched learners and elective family education.
Peter Jones CBE said: “We are very grateful for the support of FRP. This collaboration will allow us to increase the influence of the best competitive national entrepreneur of the year and make a greater impact. I can't wait to meet the finalists and see how their businesses grow with the support of the Continuing Support Foundation.”
FRP CEO Geoff Rowley added: “We are proud to advocate for grassroots entrepreneurship with the Peter Jones Foundation. This initiative will enable young people from all walks of life to take their business to the next level – creating opportunities, creating innovation, driving innovation, and helping tomorrow’s job seekers.
