A truck carrying hot dogs was scattered on the interstate in a crash along the Pennsylvania Interstate, causing messy traffic jams.

A Penn State Police Department spokesman said the tractor trailer had some mechanical problems on Interstate 83 north of the Maryland State Line on Friday, which caused it to crash into another vehicle.

The crash caused the truck to brush the concrete divider, causing the trailer to be forced to open. When this happens, many hot dogs overflow from the truck.

“Once those who leave the trucks on the road, that’s garbage and it’s still very warm,” said Brad Dauberman, head of Shrewsbury Fire.

Officials said four people were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
