Kickstarter campaign “Mosh Idols Punk Rock Poker” initiated by Solitaire.io, which contains XR Technology
Solitaire.io, an innovative online card game platform founded by Welsh creative entrepreneur Gaz Thomas, is launching a bold new physics product: Mosh Idols Punk Rock Pamercars.
Supporters of the live Kickstarter campaign will now receive punk-themed poker cards enhanced with Extended Reality (XR) features. When viewed via a phone camera, the cards come to life, with rock star characters performing original music and providing interactive games.
Designed for collectors and punk rock fans, the limited edition deck features 52 classic greeting cards (plus jokes) and is created by renowned designer Chaz Carter. “Creating artwork for these cards is a true love letter to the music I grew up with and its launch culture,” Carter said. “XR technology makes the characters feel like they’re waiting to burst and chop them up.”
This is the first in Solitaire.io’s new collection of collectible decks, blending the tactile appeal of physical cards with the creative potential of digital technology.
Gaz Thomas (pictured) also ran the popular platform freegames.org (five million page views per month), developing Solitaire.io to reimagine digital cards for new audiences. His foundation into the physics product is based on this momentum: “We are excited to offer collectors and card game fans something truly unique. These are playable, feature-based cards, but there's more. With original punk-style design and enhanced reality features, they open up a new and fun experience.”
Solitaire.io's recent growth has been partially supported by the Accelerator Program Launching Accelerator, which was joined by the Welsh Business Initiative Thomas in 2024. “The accelerator gives me greater confidence and practical tools to think bigger,” he said. “It helped shape the strategy behind this Kickstarter and played a key role in our ability to launch products that launch the digital and physical worlds.”
Kickstarter will give supporters the opportunity to choose between the two versions of the deck, with additional rewards and exclusive content. Supporters will also be part of the Solitaire.io community, helping shape its future for collectable card lines.
