Redmi 15 5G launches in India: Xiaomi India has launched a new budget smartphone in India on Tuesday, August 19 – Redmi 15 5G.
“In the past few years, India has rebounded from the pandemic, with overall content consumption habits and the use of mobile phones as a major computing device. Redmi15 is a device built for connected 2025 connected consumers,” said Anuj Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer of Xiaomi, India, in a commentary conference.
He added: “With a silicon-carbon high-density battery (EV grade) that lasted for several days and a great focus on device quality parameters, we are proud to introduce a device designed to be the perfect computing companion for millions of Indians.”
Redmi 15 5G: Battery
The Redmi 15 5G comes with a 7000mAh EV-class battery, with SI-C technology, and has 33W fast charging and 18W reverse fast charging. The company claims it provides up to 48 hours of power on one charge, and it retains 80% of its battery capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles.

Redmi 15 5G: Display
The smartphone has a 6.9-inch FHD+ adaptive synchronous display that can refresh up to 144Hz. Whether it’s gaming, scrolling or carnival observation, users can enjoy smooth and immersive visuals and get complemented by Tüv Hheinland Triple Corffication for Eye Comfort, the company said. Additionally, the Redmi 15 5G is paired with Dolby certified speakers that deliver 200% super volume.
Redmi 15 5G: Camera
The Redmi 15 5G has a 50MP AI dual camera system with a large f/1.75 aperture. Apart from that, it also features such as AI Erase, AI Sky, AI Beauty and Classic Film Filter, and with the help of users who can easily edit and enhance their lenses. For selfies, it has an 8MP front-facing camera.

On the core of the Redmi 15 5G, it has a Snapdragon 6S Gen 3 processor and runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 on Android 15.
Redmi 15 5G: Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 15 5G is available in three variants: 6GB + 128GB, Rs 14,999, 8GB + 128GB, Rs 15,999, 8GB + 256GB, Rs 16,999. Customers can choose from three color options, including matte white, midnight black and sandy purple. The device will be available on MI’s official website, Amazon, Michigan Home, and leading retail partners starting August 28, 2025.
