Killed in dog attack in San Bernardino Park

A 51-year-old woman was reportedly killed and another was injured by a dog Thursday in San Bernardino, California, and was reportedly injured in San Bernardino, California on Thursday.

San Bernardino police responded on Thursday in a scene at Mount Perris Park after receiving a call from a dog attack. Upon arrival, news outlets Fox 11 and the Los Angeles Times reported that after arrival, officials encountered multiple dogs, who said they might be stray dogs and an injured woman who claimed to have been bitten.

“The scene was a bit chaotic at first because there were multiple dogs there,” Sgt. According to the Los Angeles Times, Chris Gray of the San Bernardino Police Department said.

According to Fox 11, two other dogs suddenly charged and sued them from nearby brushes while an officer was assisting the injured woman.

According to the Los Angeles Times, in response, officers opened fire and shot and killed one of the dogs, a bulldog.

Another victim, who was later identified as 51, was found to be severely injured 30 yards away, believed to be due to the dog’s pain. Fox 11 reported that she later died in a local hospital.

According to the Los Angeles Times, San Bernardino Animal Control-working with the San Bernardino Police Department, evacuating a total of 14 dogs from the park, citing a police department spokesman.

Authorities did not immediately confirm how many animals were involved or where they were from. According to Fox 11 data, the incident is still under investigation.
