“There’s so much about Iran’s culture, humanity and art, just misunderstanding of headlines and destructive stereotypes that don’t need to be repeated. For decades, we’ve rarely seen Iranians tell our stories in narratives without Western lenses.” succession The star said in the statement. “These invisible Iranian grants allow our Iranian storytellers to create art in their own way and build a community and network of artists from our own diverse Iranian communities.”

Sepanta Mohseni, executive director of Nimruz, added: “We are looking to explore stories of identifying, uniting and diversifying voices in our communities, especially those with undernumbered numbers. By investing in these stories, we hope to promote cultural rehabilitation and unity and support artists who reflect the depth and wide range of Iranians today.”

News about grants follows a collaboration between Waterwell and Nimruth, which has enabled the organization to develop programming to support blind Warehouse in St. Ann. The work was created by the Iranian theater group Mehr Theatre Group and was produced as part of the Radar Music Festival and performed for three weeks.
