Ilana Gritzwesky, a hostage taken by Hamas during the October 7 terrorist attack, testified on Monday during the sexual abuse he suffered when he was imprisoned on Monday after publishing the Dinah project report last week.
Grizwiski delivered a special speech on public diplomacy after publishing a report on Hamas’ sexual crimes, telling her kidnapping, describing how she was transported to Gaza on a motorcycle between two Hamas terrorists.
While riding her bike, the terrorists behind her sexually assaulted her. She lost consciousness before they even crossed Gaza.
Upon arriving in Gaza, Ilana said she woke up on the ground, her shirt lifted her chest and her pants were facing down. She was surrounded by seven terrorists. She told them that she was menstruating, which, according to her testimony, saved her from further attacks.
Ilana shared the deep trauma she experienced: “I remember the gun pressing on my head, I remember laughing when they dragged me with my hair, I remember the dirty hands stealing everything like that.”
Former hostage Ilana Gritzewsky spoke at a rally calling for the release of Hamas terrorists in Canada’s “Hostage Square” and in Tel Aviv’s “Hostage Square” March 8, 2025.
She added: “I became property and they could come to touch the captives, and I had nothing but underwear and bras as long as they wanted.”
Ilana also called for the return of all hostages that Hamas still holds, including her partner, Matan Zangauker. “My country remains silent,” she said in Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech. “Why are your political fears greater than the lives of real people? You are not remembered for your speech, but for your actions.”
Disturbing and systematic patterns of sexual assault
The report released its most comprehensive accounts last week, with Hamas terrorists targeting other atrocities caused by Israelis on October 7, 2023.
The report’s findings reveal the disturbing and systematic pattern of sexual assaults carried out by terrorists who invaded Israel. The document details Hamas’ atrocities, based on testimony from hostage survivors, witnesses and aid workers.
