LA Mayor’s Issues Urban Curfew

“I hope the city knows that I have declared a local emergency and issued a curfew for downtown Los Angeles to stop vandals and stop robberies. Now, many businesses are affected by or damage. Last night, 23 businesses were robbed and I think if you drive through La, Graffiti, Graffiti will cause important illness and create important situations, ‘”””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””””

“So, the message I send you is to avoid the area if you do not live or work in downtown Los Angeles. Law enforcement will arrest those who break the curfew and you will be prosecuted. Hundreds of officers from the police and sheriff’s departments from all over the area and the state are working with the LAPD through a unified command structure. The curfew will be between 8 and 6 tonight.”

The curfew will begin at 8 p.m. local time on Tuesday and will last until Wednesday (June 11) local time, and apply for a 1 square mile area in the downtown area.
