Lleyton Hewitt and Tim Henman will serve as captains for the Confederations Cup, which will be held from January 2 to 11.

Lleyton Hewitt, Tim Henman and Stan Wawrinka are the 2026 Fed Cup captains, made up of tennis stars past and present.
The fourth edition of the innovative mixed team event will once again kick off the global tennis season, with 18 countries competing in Perth and Sydney from January 2-11 under the guidance of some of the sport’s most respected names.
In Perth, three-time Grand Slam champion Wawrinka will captain Switzerland alongside WTA No. 11 Belinda Bencic. Switzerland will face Italy and France in Group C.
Henman became the first British man to reach the Wimbledon men’s semi-finals in 25 years, sparking a renaissance in British tennis in the 1990s. He will captain Team GB, Group E, which consists of world number 10 Jack Draper and WTA number 29 Emma Raducanu.
Former PIF ATP No. 10 Lucas Pouille will lead France, whose Group C will include French No. 1 Arthur Rinderknech and Lois Boisson.
Former Japanese player Go Soeda will lead the Japanese team in their first appearance in the Fed Cup, joining four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka and 2019 Wimbledon men’s singles champion Shintaro Mochizuki in the same group as the British team and the Greek team.
In Sydney, home favorite Australia will be led by former world No. 1 and two-time Grand Slam champion Hewitt and will be in Group D.
Gabriela Dabrowski, a top-10 doubles player on the Hologic WTA Tour, will lead the second-seeded Canadian team, which includes world No. 5 Felix Auger-Aliassime and rising teenage star Victoria Mboko.
There are also a number of father-son duos on the roster, including Germany’s Alexander Zverev Sr., Norway’s Christian Ruud and Italy’s Stefano Cobolli.
