“I know it’s a tricky opponent and I lost against him this year at Wimbledon,” Musetti said. Musetti said he upgraded the Lexus ATP Head2head series with Basilashvili 2-2. “He’s really positive, so you have to focus on every point. I feel like he’s playing well in tennis, but I manage to stay there, especially on serving, and I’m so happy to be in the semifinals. [will be] Get ready for the battle. ”
Basilashvili advocated his own motivational game but he was ultimately unable to cope with Musetti’s consistency and calmness, which was the Infosys ATP Win/loss Index that he had faced 36 unmandatory mistakes in 2025, and he was his first season champion this week.
Musetti jumped Alex de Minaur to lead in the PIF ATP Live Race to Tuin-to Tuin after his 76-minute quarterfinal victory. The 23-year-old aims to make his debut in the Nitto ATP final and if he wins the championship in Chengdu, he could move to 145 points within 145 points for sixth-place Taylor Fritz.
In the second half of the draw, Brandon Nakashima defeated Marcos Giron 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (3) in the National quarterfinals clash. The 24-year-old hit a two-point shooting percentage in 4-5, 40/40, but the clutch crossed the third set to his third ATP Tour semifinal of the season.
In the last four matches between Acapulco and Houston, Nakashima faced Chengdu’s meeting with Alejandro Tabilo, who continued his run from qualifying to overcome Christopher O’Connell 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 and his first semi-final since Mallorca last June.
Watch Tabilo overcome O’Connell in three sets:
Tabilo turned the season on Chinese soil after struggling with shape and dealing with wrist and abdomen injuries in the first eight months of 2025. Last week, he reached the finals in the ATP Challenger Tour event in Guangzhou and won 20 spots in the PIF ATP Live rankings in three main draws in Chengdu, ranking 92nd in the PIF ATP Live rankings.
“I’m so happy now, especially from these qualifications, it’s an illusion.” “I’ve always done a great job in China. I’ve always loved it here.”
