Man accused of robbing Eugene 7-11 in Knifepoint

A 31-year-old man has been accused of robbing 7-Eleven at Knifepoint near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Blair Avenue.
Eugene Police Department spokesman Melinda McLaughlin said he responded to 7-Eleven at around 2:30 p.m. on June 24 after reports that a man waved his knife and threatened employees at the store’s items.
Police said an employee followed the suspect to a home in the 400 block of Monroe Street. When the officer arrives at the house, the suspect attempts to escape by encountering a nearby backyard. The suspect finally came out.
He was arrested for misdemeanor orders and first-degree robbery and booked in Ryan County Jail.
