Espanyol Martin Landaluce added his chances to win the next ATP final awarded by the PIF on Sunday to win the PIF.

The 19-year-old finished fifth in the PIF ATP live match and fifth in Jeddah, beating top seed Raphael Collignon 6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-3 in the Co’met Orleans Open.

Landaluce lifted his second Challenger Trophy, but it was a work of art. Orleans Challengers are celebrating their 20th anniversary, faithful to tradition, and each champion receives paintings commissioned by local artists. Landaluce’s award is a vibrant red painting depicting 20 tennis pyramids symbolizing the 20th edition of the game. It was drawn by Natacha Toutain.

“I don’t have much artwork at home, so I have enough space!” Landaluce said with a smile. “I think it’s pretty, very smart. I think I’m going to put it in the gym because that’s where I work and push and this trophy is thankful.

“I said yesterday that I wanted to bring the trophy home, and that’s what I did. It was amazing. It was a really beautiful game and it was a privilege to win it.”

Landaluce is the first in the previous place, winning the U.S. Open men’s singles match in 2022. He captured his first Challenger Championship in Olbia last October and now his goal is to head to the next ATP final of 20 times and below proposed by PIF. The event will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from December 17 to 21.

The Madrid native will debut in his top 100 and is currently ranked 111th in the PIF ATP Live rankings.

“If I still play this game and keep working hard and working, that will happen,” Landaluce said of his top 100 potential. “I’m not thinking about a goal because if I reach it, I’ll have more goals. I’m going to be very close to it and it’s going to be a good thing, so I just want to play my best game and play the game. My goal is to be my best version.”
