“I haven’t won a lot of games, so I’m so happy to win,” Medvedev told the crowd after he won his 27th game of the season.

“It was a great game for me – happy with the way I play and the way I serve.”

Medvedev shot eight A’s and scored 14 points overall. He broke Basavareddy’s four times when he played 2-2 to 6-2, 5-0 from the first set nine straight games. The Americans canceled three games, and then Medvedev finally ended him in an hour and 16 minutes.

The 29-year-old Russian, ranked 18th, recently ended an eight-year partnership with Cervara, won 20 titles and won the 2021 U.S. Open Championship. Medvedev replaced it with invitations to Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke to guide him through the end of 2025.

“It wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m happy to try it [Johansson and Goetzke] For the rest of the season, then [next] I’ll see how things are going on in the season,” Medvedev told the media in China earlier this week. “I like how they work. I like what they say, it’s an interesting new project in my career. ”

Next, Medvedev will face China’s Wu Yibin, who summoned 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 in Sebastian Korda and booked his own position in the past eight.
