Mercedes Benz India’s price cut list: Luxury carmakers announce discounts up to Rs 1.1 lakh after GST 2.0; see model rate

Mercedes-Benz India lowers: German automaker Mercedes Benz has announced discounts in its lineup in India, priced at up to Rs 1.1 lakh. The move comes after the central bumper GST cut announced last week, about two weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised a “Grand Diwali Gift” in the form of a massive price cut for several items. The GST 2.0 reform reduces the tax rate of CPONTRY cars from 28% to 18%. Since the indirect tax was filed in 2017, the decision was held at the 56th session of the GST Committee.

Mercedes-Benz India discount ranges from Rs 2.6 lakh to Rs 1.1 lakh.

GST 2.0 lowers cars | What happened to the price of cars in India?

The GST Council announced tax changes in multiple industries, with wide-ranging interest rates for automobiles reaching 10 percentage points, reaching 18%.

This is Five major changes In GST 2.0 reform:

  • Gasoline and gasoline hybrids, LPG and CNG passenger cars below the 4m 1200cc category, will now attract less than 18% of 1,000 benchmark points
  • Diesel and diesel hybrid vehicles below 4 meters will also be taxed 18% instead of 28% in the category below 1500 meters
  • Tricycles will be taxed 18% instead of 28%
  • Motorcycle tax rate up to 350 cc is 18%, not 28%
  • Trucks will also attract 18% tax, instead of 28%
