Ryan Lochte thanks fans after divorce: “Hard Day”

Ryan Lochte Thanks to him for the support he received after breaking up with his wife Kayla Rae Reid.
The 40-year-old Olympian said in a video shared via his Instagram story on Thursday, June 5, “Just want to all the messages, to reach out to me, to reach out to me, to reach out to me. Thanks to someone who means a lot to me.
Lochte also thanked his loved ones for sending him a thoughtful gift during the difficult times.
“For my second family, I give me this beautiful card and a basket full of candies my son is eating,” shared Locht, holding up the almost empty cardboard box. “Thank you, I love you.”
Earlier this week, Reid, 33, announced that she filed for divorce from Lochte after seven years of marriage.
“Earlier this year, I made the tough decision to end my marriage,” she wrote on Instagram on Wednesday, June 4, “I kept the highest emphasis on marriage, so it was one of the most painful, revealing and challenging seasons of my life. I was reluctant to share until I could share it from a place where I recovered to fresh, open wounds.”

Reid continued: “Sometimes we face trials that we don’t have choices or see. In that moment, we are forced to make the hardest decisions to protect our peace, our children and our future. I’ve learned that staying is not always the favorite decisions that someone can make. To me, leaving is an act of love – for me and those around me.”
Lochte and Reid ended in 2018. The two shared three children: Caiden, 7, Liv, 5 and Georgia, 23 months.
Lochte breaks the silence of separation after Reid’s post.
“The past year has been made as we have made difficult decisions to end our marriage. I am deeply grateful for the life we have built together, especially the love we share with our three children,” he wrote in an Instagram statement. “While this decision was not easy, I think it is the right step towards peace and well-being.”
Lochte added that he and Reid were “committed to healing, growing and respecting” as they browse in their “new chapters.”
