Meteorological sector predicts intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu until September 26

Meteorological Centre in Chennai region predicts that extensive rainfall in Tamil Nadu, as well as Puducher and Karakar will continue until September 26. The latest update is a large number of showers recorded in several areas of the state over the past 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Bureau, the highest rainfall was recorded in Arakkonam in the Ranipet district, with the highest rainfall in the area. Ambattur in Tiruvallur area and Ayyappakkam and Korattur in Chennai have recorded 6 cm of rain.

Meteorologists attribute the widespread wet conditions to the lower atmospheric circulation in the southern part of the state. They said the system will continue to affect weather patterns over the next five days, bringing intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds in the northern and southern regions.
