Military said Israel's interceptor missile was launched by Yemen.

The military said earlier Sunday that Israeli troops had fired another missile from Yemen to Yemen.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said the launch triggered air strikes sirens in several parts of the country.

Yemen's Houthi rebels have been firing in Israel since the beginning of the Gaza war in October 2023, and he claims to be responsible for the attack.

The group said on Sunday that it had fired two ballistic missiles at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, injured several people after hitting the periphery of the airport for the first time on May 4.

Houthis, an Iran-backed rebel group that controlled much of Yemen, also began attacking international transport in the Red Sea after the Gaza War, described as a united action with the Palestinian extremist group Hamas.

The Gaza War was triggered by an October 7, 2023 attack on Israel's Hamas.
