Imane Khelif, a boxer at the Olympic Center for Gender Controversy, skipped the Dutch boxing match in the Netherlands after World Boxing was announced as a mandatory sexual test for all athletes.

The Algerian boxer won the gold medal at the Paris Games last summer while scrutinizing her qualifications and did not attend the event in time until she applied for a closure on Thursday.

Khelif intends to return to international competition in the tournament held at the Eindhoven Hotel, before World Boxing announced its new sexual testing policy last Friday.

Eindhoven Mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem criticized the world boxing decision.

“For our part, it is welcomed in Eindhoven. Fox News Digital approached World Boxing with representatives from the Algerian Olympic Committee and Khelif.

The International Olympic Committee issued a statement to Fox News on Tuesday morning.

“The IOC has been making it clear that eligibility criteria is the responsibility of their respective international federations,” the IOC said. “The important factor with athletic performance is the uniqueness of each sport, discipline and/or event. We await all the details of how to implement tests in a safe, equitable and legally enforceable way.”

Khelif was disqualified from the 2023 championship and then won a gold round on gender qualification issues.

After qualifying for the Olympics, boxers became the focus of global attention and gender controversy surfaced. Khelif defeated Angela Carini in the initial battle during the Paris Olympics, while the IOC defended Khelif. As the controversy progressed, Khelif continued to win and eventually won the gold medal.
