Wimbledon’s 138th Open Era stage achieved a sensational final in the men’s side. It all depends on Sunday’s best seed Jannik Sinner and second seed Carlos Alcaraz, the top two seeds in Sunday’s game.

We delved into a lot of austerity as the two prepared to compete in their second Grand Slam final, first at Wimbledon.

8-4 – Alcaraz has maintained an 8-4 lifetime advantage over Sinner and now has won five straight wins against Sinner, including a defeat to the Italian in the Roland-Garros final last month, where he saved three championship points and won two games from two games, earning his first defeat in the major final.

5-0 – Alcaraz has been unbeaten in his career so far. Only Monica Celes (6) and Roger Federer (7) won more major finals without suffering their first defeat in the open era.

7 – Alcaraz or Sinner both won each of the last seven major singles titles, dating back to the 2024 Australian Open.

5 – The number of players who have won Wimbledon men’s singles championship since 2003.

20 Alcaraz rode a 20-game winning streak in the final, with his overall winning streak of 24 shots.

3-1 – Sinner bid to become the first Italian to win a Wimbledon singles title, winning three of the first four Grand Slam finals.

2008 – Alcaraz and Alcaraz and Sinner are the first pair of men to finals in Paris and Wimbledon since Federer and Nadal in 2008. They are the second duo to achieve this feat in the open era.

93-9 – Sinner has won all of the games except nine games since early 2024, but Alcaraz beat him five times in that span.

1 – Sinner held a grassland meeting for two in Wimbledon. He beat Alkaraz in four rounds and 16 sets in the tournament.

3 – Alcaraz bids to become the fifth player in Open-Era history to successfully complete three games at Wimbledon and join Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

11 – Sina reached the finals in at least all four majors, and he was the 11th man to achieve this feat in the open era. Alcaraz has not been added at least.

6 – Alcaraz bids to win his sixth major title. If he succeeds, he will be the second youngest player to win six professional players, only bigger than Bjorn Borg.
