Navarro shook and the second ball hit Love, extending the lead to 4-2.
The sharp Navarro beat the lead 5-2 in eight consecutive points.
At her second match point, Navarro made a wrong backhand to win the opening victory in two hours and 13 minutes.

“The best team in the world, let’s go,” Navarro said. “I got a lot of support from the ladies over there and Lindsay’s support. I’m very proud of my country.
“To me, having the American flag on my chest means the world to me. I will never give up anyway, but when I have the American flag on my chest, I will never give up.”
