NEET PG 2025: Supreme Court allows NBE to reschedule NEET-PG exams, view new dates

The Supreme Court allowed the National Examinations Board (NBE) petition to be nationally qualified on Friday, June 6 – Interference Postgraduate Course Test (NEET-PG) on August 3, 2025, which was held on June 15, 2025 on June 15, 2025.
On May 30, the Supreme Court ordered the NEET PG exam to be performed in only one shift. The NBE then filed an application in the Supreme Court to extend the time to reschedule the inspections as new arrangements must be made to comply with the single-stage order.
The seats of justice for Prashant Kumar Mishra and Augustine George Masih clarified that in this regard, the NBE will no longer be awarded.
“We are satisfied that the prayer for prolonging the time is real. Therefore, our date is May 30, and the time for the examination has been extended,” the court said in its order.
The bench rejected the NBE’s decision to hold exams in two transitions, saying it created “arbitraryness.”
The bench also said that if they find that the schedule cannot apply for an extended time by June 15, the scheduled exam date.
At today’s hearing, consultants who appeared for the NBE pointed out that new steps need to be taken to arrange a single shift for exams.
The lawyer believes: “The total advantage of candidates who appear in the exam is 2 million and 50 million, with only 450 centers. Therefore, we need to make sure that more centers are provided and safety parameters are provided.”
He further argued that since the exam is changing in one turn, it will take time to provide candidates with the opportunity to choose a center.
After hearing the submission, the court allowed the NBE to conduct inspections within the extended period of August 3.
