During the Australian Open, ATPTour.com will give fans an inside look at the leaders in key statistical categories, showing how performances throughout 2025 contribute to a successful season and the promise of more great years in 2026.
Taylor Fritz has cemented himself as one of the most dominant servers in the game with a tour-leading 867 aces in 2025. Other players on the tour should take note, as Infosys ATP data shows Fritz has been on a clear upward trajectory.
In 2021, Fritz blasted 530 aces in 56 games, steadily climbing up the leaderboard each season and still leads the way today.

| Year | trump card | matches | average. | Location. |
| 2025 | Chapter 867 | 74 | 11.72 | first place |
| 2024 | Chapter 725 | 74 | 9.8 | third place |
| 2023 | Chapter 692 | 77 | 8.98 | second place |

“Every time I step up, I try to get an ace,” Fritz told ATPTour.com at the Australian Open. “Maybe with one exception, if the conditions are really slow and the ball is worn out, I might think about where I can serve if it’s not an ace, which gives me the best chance to start scoring. But I think I always step up and try to get free points on the serve.”
Fritz’s dominance from the free throw line was on full display in Stuttgart last year, as the American held 43 service games without stopping to lift the trophy. He hit 45 aces that week and faced only four break points in the entire match.
Does Fritz think he has a better chance of hitting an ace if the receiver stands near the baseline or further away?
“It depends on speed and conditions. I would say a fairly neutral position feels good,” Fritz said. “I feel like it’s easy for guys to hit good shots when they’re standing up, but if they get hit with the bat, the return back is harder to handle.
“If they come back, I feel like they might come back for more, but the second shot feels a lot easier. So it’s hard to say.”
A 10-time tour-level champion, Fritz reached a career-high No. 4 in the PIF ATP Rankings in November 2024, two months after playing in his first Grand Slam final at the U.S. Open. In 2025, Fritz qualified for the prestigious Nitto ATP Finals for the third time.
