‘No PowerPoint, No Food’: Former Tesla employee leaks Elon Musk’s basic rules, Tesla CEO responds

A former Tesla employee recently revealed his meeting with Elon Musk, revealing the “baseline rules” the tech billionaire has reportedly adhered to during discussions with the EV giant.

“More insights from Elon I’ve gained from my personal experience with Tesla…I have some simple basic rules for every meeting with E. -No point of power. -Just talk about what is a mistake/break/barrier, you need e to clear it. -Don’t figure out the food. Figuring out the action. Talk about action.”

In the same thread, another user asked, “In what circumstances does it make sense to allow meetings with ideal things, only barriers and solutions are adopted until you gain some influence.”

In response, the former tesla employee replied: “When Elon decides to conduct a review at a planning meeting or not at a departmental or operational level, we have room to do what we need.”

Mixed reaction on x

The post has sparked criticism from some users. One person wrote: “I’ve been saying it for a while, but Tesla’s talent for Exodus is real. It doesn’t bother me to point out that. If $tsla people want long-term success at Tesla, they need top talent, which is a problem that needs to be solved.”

Others defended Musk, and one user replied: “Fred. You obviously don’t know how Tesla works. Elon is an incredibly talented magnet. For every brilliant talented person he works for, 25 more people will sell an arm and a leg to own the job. This is Elon’s real secret magnet for Elon’s real secret power.”

Some users on X responded easily to the “no food” rule. One wrote: “Evil way, you have to lose weight.” Another joked: “If that’s the case, it seems they shouldn’t bring it, but are ready to share.”
