Former President Barack Obama’s doctor said former President Joe Biden’s doctor should give him more cognitive tests.
Jeffrey Kuhlman served as Obama’s doctor between 2009 and 2013, he told New York Post On Saturday, Biden and any politician over the age of 70 should be given a “few hours” annual psychological exam and should be visited by the public.
“My position is a 78-year-old candidate, then Trump, an 82-year-old president [Biden] Both will benefit from neurocognitive testing. ” Kullman said.
He went on to say, “There is normal cognitive decline in any politician over the age of 70,” noting that he has been recommending an annual psychological exam for more than a year.
Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor oversaw the president’s three bodies during his tenure, but Kuhlman said the physical report did not include notes from neurocognitive experts.

He also noted that Biden did not accept Montreal’s cognitive assessment, which Donald Trump agreed to accept during his first term. According to Kuhlman, the test is a two-minute screening test for about 30 questions that explores signs of dementia.
Obama’s doctor said there was no doubt that Trump “had a cognitive assessment” of Montreal, but said he believed the White House should also release a CT scan after Trump was assassinated last year.
Although the Montreal test was able to detect some basic signs of dementia, doctors noted that it was not enough to identify more serious cognitive problems.
According to Kuhlman, both psychological processing speed and spatial visualization began to decline around the age of 60.
Kullman said he respects O’Connor’s medical judgment, but added: “Sometimes people who are closest to trees miss the forest.”
O’Connor told New York Post In July 2024 (a few days after the president announced he wouldn’t run for re-election), Biden’s cognitive health was “good”.

O’Connor was summoned Thursday by a Republican-led House Oversight Committee to inquire about Biden at the June 27 hearing.
