Unknown Fields – Sheldon beats De Minaur in Toronto to win the Master’s milestone – Tennis Now

Ben Shelton continues to excel on the biggest stage in sports.
On Tuesday night, the Americans ranked 8th in the world with a 6-3, 6-4, becoming the youngest American to reach the semi-finals since Andy Roddick in 2005.
Shelton, 22, will face fellow countryman Taylor Fritz in Wednesday night’s All-American fight as he competed in his first Masters final.
It will be the first All-American semi-final since Mardy Fish beat Cincinnati’s Andy Roddick in 2010.
Sheldon entered Tuesday’s brawl with a 0-3 record in the Masters quarterfinals, but he dominated the game against Mill from start to finish as he scored 22 winners in 23 unmandatory turnovers and won a larger baseline point victory.
Sheldon saved one of two breakout points and converted three breakouts to grab Australia’s seven-game winning streak. He also won the top ten of the season after losing the top five this year.
