“Waves Will Be the Benchmark in the World”: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, speaking to media people during the first wave of history, said the government will soon establish the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

“Today, the World Audio and Entertainment Summit is a good start and it will continue to be the benchmark in the world. In the global media dialogue held here, a statement recognized the adoption of this constructive approach. Ministers from many countries appreciated the Prime Minister’s initiative.

“We will also start the first IICTs of IIT and IIM (Industry of Creative Technology Institute), which will be built in Mumbai. The budget has been allocated Rs 4 billion. The same land has been provided by the Maharashtra government,” the union minister added.

Earlier in the day, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the World Audio and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) was full of development and employment opportunities.

“This activity is full of new horizons with development, job opportunities and investment potential,” Fadnavis told reporters.

“After yesterday’s Prime Minister’s inauguration, representatives and experts from all over the world said that this was the first time they have witnessed an event of this scale and implemented it with such meticulous planning and vision. As part of the platform, we signed an important memorandum of understanding today.

This is a significant success in building a strong and sustainable investment ecosystem. The first is the launch of the Waves Index, which will become the profit base for the investment ecosystem…” he added.

He thanked the central government for choosing Mumbai as the host of the 2025 Inspur.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stressed the efforts of the Maharashtra government to make the state an educational hub, his government has signed with two major universities to open up new dimensions in the field of education and skills development.

“We have signed with two leading universities Moore-WA University and York University. The university will open new aspects in the field of education and skills development. Under new educational policies, new doors of opportunity are open to us, which will guide the future of our youth,” CM Fadnavis claimed.

Opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Waves 2025 is a four-day summit with a tagline of “Connecting Creators, Connecting Country” that promises to bring India as a global hub for media, entertainment and digital innovation by bringing together creators, startups, industry leaders and policy makers.

Waves 2025 witnesses come from more than 90 countries, with more than 10,000 representatives, more than 1,000 creators, more than 300 companies and more than 350 startups.
