Pakistan's use of J-10C jets and missiles reveals the effectiveness of Chinese weapons

When India and Pakistan launched missile strikes over the weekend, when two nuclear-weapon neighbors broke out into open conflict, the world was watching in horror, and military analysts discovered something curious. It seems that Pakistan uses Chinese jets to shoot down Indian aircraft.

Last week, India launched missiles in Pakistan in retaliation for the radical attack on Kashmir, which was managed in India, killing 26 people. The conflict escalated with mutual strikes and drone attacks.

Pakistan claims to have shot down several Indian Air Force fighters, and the Chinese-made J10-C jet launched the Chinese-made missile. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar told parliament that combatants on Pakistan's face had defeated the waves made by India and France. Dahl said he had informed the Chinese and they were very happy. Chinese social media celebrated.

Pakistan's use of J-10CS will mark the first use of Chinese aircraft – and the PL-15 missiles they carry – in combat anywhere in the world, giving military analysts a rare glimpse of their capabilities, the Chinese army, PLA, PLA, a crucial verification case.

“Any country produces or buys a weapon that is eager to see the product's role in actual conflict. Testing and practice can illustrate the ability of a weapon, but the final test is usually combat-oriented.”

China is an important ally of Pakistan. Sipri estimates it is Pakistan's largest military weapons supplier, from fighter jets to naval ships and missiles, with more than 80% of its stock.

Andrew Small, a senior Berlin researcher at the Marshall Foundation in Germany, said China has benefited greatly from seeing its weapons against equivalents with the West. “It gives them the opportunity to evaluate their performance under more complex and challenging conditions than usual, and Pakistan is related not only to the fighter itself, but also to missiles, radar systems and the entire technical spine of the Pakistani military, from electronic warfare capabilities to satellite systems to satellite systems.”

Chinese aircraft are not only being tested by Western weapons. India has been backed by China's largest rival, the United States and its closest ally Russia, which supplies 36% of India's weapons imports.

But analysts say it has provided a wake-up call about China's military capabilities as it has the potential to annex Taiwan.

“We may need to reassess the PLA's air combat capability, even exceeding the U.S. air power deployment level in East Asia,” said Shu Hsiao-huang, an associate researcher at the Taiwan Ministry of Defense and Defense Institute.

Under Xi Jinping's rule, China's military has been modernizing and expanding with the goal of being able to carry out air and land invasions on Taiwan by 2027.

Hu Xijin, a former editor of the Tabbud Times, which connects nationalist China to the state, said the incident showed Taiwan should feel “more scared.”

Part of China's contingency plan expects the U.S. military and others to participate in defending Taiwan.

Yun Sun, director of China Programs at the Stimson Center, said the two combat theaters are not directly comparable, as the Taiwan invasion could have more opinions than the limited conflict between India and Pakistan involving the Navy, Marine Corps and Army.

“Technically, India has not used the U.S. weapon system in this round,” Sun said. “But the surprising victory for China's J-10 and PL-15,” [missiles] It will force people to rethink the military power balance in Taiwan’s emergency situation. ”

The success of J-10C against the Gun also boosted China's reputation as a weapon manufacturer and seller. Although China is the fourth largest arms exporter in the world, more than half is Pakistan, and the rest are mainly smaller developed countries. It must work around U.S. sanctions.

The stock price of J-10C's Chengdu Aircraft Company soared.

The novel, Pakistan is often regarded as a display of Chinese weapons.

“The good performance shows others the benefits of maintaining a close partnership with Beijing, as PLA capabilities improves PLA capabilities, especially given that China provides Pakistan with one of its closest strategic partners, Pakistan, with a version of its PL-15 missile range longer than the usual export variants,” he said.

Weisman said the shooting was too limited to draw many firm conclusions to the Chinese military, and in recent years the shooting has also been caught in a corruption scandal.

“That is, the conflict seems to support a general assessment of Chinese weapons that have proven to be a match for Western weapons.”

China's military and government neither deny nor celebrate the J-10C's claim. The Foreign Ministry said when asked about being unfamiliar with the J-10C situation.

But on Tuesday, China's Deputy External Minister Sun Weiden met with Pakistan's ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi. “China welcomes and supports Pakistan and India to achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire,” the Foreign Ministry said.

“China is ready to continue to play a constructive role in this regard.”
