From April 30, dairy dairy products raise the price of milk to Rs 2 per liter; what fuels hiking

Dairy mother, one of the leading milk suppliers in the NCR region of Delhi, announced a fresh increase in milk prices, raising prices by up to Rs 2 per liter. The revised price will be effective from Wednesday, April 30 and will be used in all major milk variants including full cream, hues, two-tone and milk.

The move comes after a similar revision made last June, where the company has increased the sharp rise in procurement costs by nearly Rs 4-5, a major reason for the latest growth.

With new prices, the full cream milk bag is now priced at Rs 69 per liter, up to Rs 68 per liter. The popular tones of milk (sachets) are now available for sale at Rs 57, while the two tones and milk are priced at Rs 51 and Rs 59, respectively. The price of beef milk has also increased from Rs 54 per liter to Rs 56.

Summer calories, rising input costs drive price pressure

According to dairy mothers, early attacks in summer and widespread heatwave conditions disrupt supply chains and increase raw milk procurement costs. These costs have soared by Rs 4-5 per liter in recent months, forcing the company to recalibrate its retail price.

A spokesperson for Dairy Mothers said: “This price revision is necessary to address a significant increase in procurement costs.”

Dairy mother clarified that hiking only means Partial passes The rise in input costs emphasizes the company's efforts between farmers' compensation and consumer affordability. The brand almost offers 3.5 million liters Milk is performed daily through its stalls, retail networks and online platforms.

“We remain committed to ensuring that quality milk is continuously supplied to consumers while supporting farmers' livelihoods,” the spokesperson added.

Industry Trends: Amul Hikes Prices earlier

The hike was a few weeks after the Amul modified price of Rs 2, indicating a comprehensive response to soaring procurement fees.

With this up and down revision, families will need to adjust their budget slightly, as dairy products remain major in most kitchens. However, experts believe that given the sharp rise in agricultural prices, a partial interest rate hike is inevitable.
