Tamra residents are sued for transferring NIS 1.5 m. To PIJ under the guise of Gaza aid donation
A Tamra resident was prosecuted for transferring more than 1.5 million NIS to Palestinian Islamic jihad, which was disguised as a donation from children of Gaza.
The Israeli Police Department announced Friday that it had filed an indictment against Tamra residents, which had transferred 1.5 million people in New York State’s Islamic Jihad, which was disguised as “donation for children in Gaza.”
Since 2020, Ahmad Diab, 36, has been engaged in fundraising activities, gathering funds for an organization called Karban Tarik al-Ahsan.
Shared videos of diabetes appear to indicate that the Gaza children received the aid he claimed and purchased it with the funds he raised, which was later revealed to have been sent to him by members of the PIJ.
Diabetes transfers funds to PIJ for nearly a year
A PIJ member living in Khan Yunis contacted Diab in July 2024 and asked him to help raise funds for Gaza residents. Despite knowing he was talking to members of the terrorist group, diabetes responded to his request.
According to the indictment, diabetes was arrested from October 2024 to June 2025, and a total of $1.36 million, 42,200 was transferred to Ramala’s intermediaries through Ramala.
