Phonepe’s Pincode plan digitizes more than 1,000 offline retail stores

Phonepe’s Pincode platform has authorized over 1,000 local offline stores in major Indian cities such as Bangalore, Pune, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Varanasi, allowing them to compete effectively and accelerate the growth of the fast digital retail market.
By combining technology, operational expertise and reliable logistics, Pincode enables offline retailers to effectively compete and accelerate the growth of India’s fast digital retail market without losing their local identity.
Pincode works closely with offline retailers to address key issues including limited coverage, inefficiency in delivery and pricing pressures.
Through data-enabled insights, Pincode helps retailers optimize their product selection based on actual customer needs, ensuring higher relevance, faster movement and better profit margins.
This approach allows local stores to not only build online businesses, but also strengthen their core offline operations, drive sustainable growth and empower them to effectively compete with large online players.
“Pincode is more than just a digital store – we are building our business of the future. Our mission is to be a growth partner for every offline seller. We are more than just a store on the market online; we provide a complete ecosystem for success,” said Vivek Lohcheb, CEO of Pincode.
“To deliver on this promise, we developed our Smart Store Programme, which equips our offline retail partners with the technology, operational knowledge-how, customer access, and logistics that they need to flourish. We are empowering offline retailers to bring the entire local market to their customers’ doorsteps, matching the speed and selection they expect, while preserving the invaluable trust these stores have built over decades,” Lohcheb added.
Pincode’s Smart Store plans to provide offline retailers with smart stock management tools including ERP and POS integration, operational support to optimize store layouts and efficient order processing, and a dedicated delivery infrastructure that ensures over 99% order reliability.
It also provides marketing and demand generation support to grow online and offline sales; AI-driven cataloging for digitization of fast and simplified product listings.
Pincode also shares with Pincode what some businessman partners think about their digital journey.
“After joining Pincode, 75% of my business went through online orders. Delivery timing, customers were happy, and the settlement of the next day made cash flow easier to manage.
This is a game changer for my store.
“From a small village, I don’t have experience with online platforms, but Pincode makes everything simple. Since joining, my weekday sales have increased by 30-35% and over 50% on weekends. The boarding is smooth, the support continues and it turns out to speak to myself,” Mahi Mehwada, Mahi Mehwada, Balaji Mart, Pune.
“As a business built on customer trust, online mobility needs to be seamless – Pincode makes this possible. The platform’s fast delivery system and local order routing help us serve more pet parents faster.
Our customer base has grown significantly since entering the career, and online orders now contribute a major share of our monthly sales. Manjunath, manager of Bengaluru, added.
Pincode invites offline retailers in Bangalore – in all categories such as groceries, stationery, meat and fish, pharmaceuticals, pet food and supplies to join its growing network.
By partnering with Pincode, retailers can access digital storefronts, smart inventory solutions, and reliable last-mile delivery, helping them expand their customer base and thrive in India’s rapidly growing digital business landscape.
The company said interested store owners can write to sall@pincode.com to join the Pincode network.
