Photo: Human Rights Unified Riding Supports Immigrants Raiding on the Los Angeles Area Ice
Following weeks of immigration and customs enforcement raids and protests, people led a peaceful solidarity show led by horseback riding from Paramount to Compton to support immigration. When members of the southeastern Los Angeles cowboy community headed to Compton City Hall on Sunday, Hoves echoed the streets, flags waving high. Dozens of riders on horseback led the protests. Their hike and car supporters joined them, holding signs and tweeting to support. Paramount was chosen as the starting point because it was the first place where protests broke out after federal agents were spotted in the stage area near Home Depot for the first time in early June.
The riders passed the U.S. Marines across from Paramount Home Warehouse during the Human Rights Solidarity in Compton on Sunday, when the ongoing ice raid took place in the Greater Los Angeles area.
