Police said an autozone in southern Los Angeles was reportedly taken over by a street in early Saturday morning.

The incident comes after two similar break-ins made earlier this week and last month on South Los Angeles Automated Carrier, crowd lansack ruined the store during possible street takeovers nearby.

LAPD Public Information Officer Jeff Lee said in the incident that took place around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police received a call saying dozens of cars were burned out at the intersection of Century Boulevard and Central Avenue while hundreds of people were watching.

Around the same time, the phone reported people breaking into an automatic carrier near the intersection. Callers said at least some men were wearing ski masks, they came from the street to take over crowds, and as many as 50 people were shopping in stores, Lee said.

Lee said police responded to the blocked intersection and the autozone incident, causing the crowd to flee.

Lee said he had no information on the damage caused to the store or caused. Lee said there were no reports of arrests during the street acquisition.

He said detectives are investigating burglaries and will review surveillance and social media videos.
