Princeton student Lauren Blackburn finds dead in the lake

The Princeton University community is mourning the loss.
Lauren BlackburnAccording to university officials, it was an Ivy League school English student who was found dead on campus lake on April 25. He is 23 years old.
“I feel so sad to share with you the body of Lauren Blackburn found at Lake Carnegie this morning,” said the dean of the undergraduate student. Regan Crotty Shared on April 25 Press release. “Our hearts are heavy and we share our deepest condolences with Lauren’s family and friends.”
In addition to sharing campus counseling services for students affected by the tragedy, Crotty wrote: “We know that every member of our community joins us to express our condolences to Lauren’s family, friends and loved ones and hope they will stay strong during this most difficult time.”
There is no cause of death.
According to the school’s vice president of student life, a few days ago, Blackburn W. Rochelle Calhoun.

“What I am very worried about is that I write to you to know that Lauren Blackburn '26 of West is reportedly missing,” Calhoun at The The Statement on April 22. “The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is leading the search and recently issued a tiger alert to the campus community.”
Blackburn was last seen at the campus library next to the campus library on the evening of April 19, with a torn knee, a yellow T-shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt, according to officials.

“Princeton is my favorite because they focus on undergraduates. I'm so grateful and feel very lucky. Princeton will allow me to learn anything and get a world-class education in anything,” Blackburn told the media in 2019.
