R Doraiswamy was in charge of the CEO (CEO) and managing director (MD) of Life Insurance Company (LIC on Monday, and will take effect from the same day. His appointment was for three years or until he reached 62 years, or until the earliest order.
According to official notice, Doraiswamy has been appointed CEO and MD of the life insurance behemoth.
His appointment is Level 17 of the salary matrix (fixed compensation is Rs 2,25,000 per month).
As Doraiswamy holds the position, managing director Sat Pal Bhanoo no longer holds financial and administrative powers and functions of the CEO and MD.
LIC shares fell 0.7% on BSE at Rs 916.1 earlier on Monday.

He pioneered the modernization of IT infrastructure and the business application of LIC personal business, serving as chief director and executive director.
During his tenure as Regional Manager, Doraiswamy achieved tremendous growth and productivity gains in the group insurance marketing sector in the southern region.
