Punishment Park is a movie that everyone should watch

This movie is called Punishment Park. There’s a good chance you’ve never seen it. Maybe you’ve never even heard of it. Surprisingly, this is often considered one of the most controversial films of all time. Maybe that’s why you haven’t heard of it. Maybe it’s a movie that most people will be happy or not even know.
But Stephen King’s A long walk Finally onto the big screen – and some other movies with similar themes – this time seems more appropriate than ever Punishment Park Opportunities for new audiences to discover.
The story of the punishment park

Punishment Park It is a man-made documentary by writer/director Peter Watkins, released in 1971. In his panic, he issued a state of emergency that allowed anyone to believe that “internal security risks” were arrested and detained by police and military officials.
This includes not only protesters of the Vietnam War. Many college students, as well as feminists, civil rights advocates, and those who declare themselves members of the Communist Party were snapped up. Most young people, usually most young people from different backgrounds.
Everyone was considered to have committed some crime and made the choice: go to jail or spend three days in a game called Punishment Park. As the prison system in this not too distant future is known to be full of legally violent criminals, most detainees choose to punish the park.
Punishment Park Game

Punishment Park is a three-day journey through the California desert where detainees are ruled and then chased by police. If arrested, they will be returned to serve their sentences in prison. Their goal is to reach the American flag that stalks on the desert beach as a promise of freedom.
Of course, some detainees decided not to play the game and fought back against the kidnappers. This gives the police all the motivation they need to kill everyone who opposes them. You will feel like this rebellion is what many groups they deal with by punishing the park will expect.
But another group decided not to fight back and tried to achieve the goal. They just did it, but with some of these police officers arrested them and beat them mercilessly. They are to be sentenced to prison. You can’t win the game at Punishment Park.
Make it real, because it is

Peter Watkins’ decision to make it a documentary story makes the cruel and desolate fatalism even harder. Many participants are non-actors, they are for a sense of reality. There was even a moment in the movie where the gun went out and the actors who used the gun didn’t know that it wasn’t a live show. Another actor pretended to be shot and the child holding the gun thought he actually shot someone.
Peter Watkins captures the real moment in the movie.
It’s a shocking, cruel, tormenting and arguably immoral thing. Almost as terrible as the idea that exists in the movie itself. The idea is a reflection on the real horror that happened in the United States at that time, such as the tragedy of the Kent Holocaust. They are still a reflection of the real horror. The real horror is happening.
So, making a documentary film that makes a story seem like the only way Watkins can push the barrier between reality and novel in a way that evokes strong reactions from the audience.
Anyway, I thought you might want to see Punishment Park today. Obviously it’s right A long walkThis is a not too far-fetched future story, telling a game where competitors must travel through the United States. If you want to watch some of the preparatory adaptations by Stephen King, these are still shocking, important and relevant, I can recommend them thoroughly Punishment Park.
